Treat mouth with topical antifungals for 2 weeks, soak dentures in chlorhexidine or nystatin, and encourage patient to remove dentures from the mouth for at least 8 hours each night

Assess and address contributing medicine and diseases, educate on the importance of good oral hygiene and topical fluorides, and recommend regular hydration and salivary substitutes.
